Franklin Pierce University Sponsors Derek Robbie Motorsports

Bellingham, MA, April, 2015 – Derek Robbie, driver of the #27 Pro4 Modified, announced a new marketing partner for the 2015 racing season—Franklin Pierce University, the school where Robbie is currently enrolled. Robbie, a native of Bellingham, MA, says his #27 race car will carry the university’s logo and the school will promote Robbie’s auto racing as part of the agreement.  “I am excited about working with Franklin Pierce University,” said Robbie, who just completed his freshman year at Franklin Pierce.  “This university has so much to offer from an educational stand point. I can’t wait to show the racing community and future students what this school has to offer. I want to use my racing as another example of the real-world learning and teaching that happens at Franklin Pierce. I think a Franklin Pierce race car will bring even more Raven Pride to the community. ”

Robbie hopes this partnership is the beginning of a long-term relationship with his future alma mater. “The operating of a race team involves so much more than just a driver and a mechanic. This partnership is a great step toward exposing many people to how racing can benefit and impact the community. I’m hoping this partnership will strengthen ties between Pierce students, alumni, faculty, and the entire campus community.”

Robbie is majoring in Sports Management with a minor in Marketing. Along with his studies, Robbie is also a member of the Franklin Pierce Ravens Cross Country and Track teams, both of which were ranked nationally in Division II.

Franklin Pierce University is a liberal arts school with its main campus in Rindge, New Hampshire. The university also has campuses in Manchester, Portsmouth, and Lebanon, New Hampshire, as well as a campus in Goodyear, Arizona. The school is named after Franklin Pierce, the 14th president of the United States. The university offers 37 fields of study for academics and supports Twenty-two (22) NCAA Division 2 sport teams.

“Announcing a partnership like this makes you thankful for your family and friends, and your loyal sponsors,” says Robbie.  Other sponsors that support Robbie’s #27 Pro4 team include Adidas Motorsports, Racing Against Drugs (RAD), BaddAss Incorporated, Marshall's Jewelers, Shibles Family Mattress, Bellingham Parts Plus, and RH2way Racing Communications.
