Derek Robbie, Fellow Race Car Drivers Raise $250+ for
Racing Against Drugs
At Rockin’ It for RAD

Bellingham, MA, August 30, 2013–#27 New England Pro 4 Modified Limited Division race car driver Derek Robbie of Bellingham, MA joined with fellow local race car drivers to raise $270 total ($220 at the event plus $50 from an on-line auction) for RAD (Racing Against Drugs) at the much anticipated Rockin’ It for RAD event he hosted at the Red Rock Grill & Bar and Good to Go Creamery in Upton, MA on Saturday, August 24th.  Robbie and Matt Lowinski-Loh of Milford, MA, driver of the #22 Limited Sportsman at Thompson Speedway, along with Custom QMA and Silver City quarter midget drivers Samuel Lotter and Julia Lotter displayed their cars, answered questions, and signed autographs all afternoon.
“The turn-out wasn’t quite what we expected but we made the best of it,” said Robbie.  “We smiled and pressed on anyway.  We gave away t-shirts and had some fun with the pit crew challenge.  I’m so thankful for the few people that did join us.  Their donations will help RAD change lives.   It just goes to show that you should never underestimate the power of a few to make a difference. “
